Baseball Recap: Sandpoint Takes a Loss

Sandpoint lost against Coeur d'Alene on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Sandpoint came up short against Coeur d'Alene, falling 13-6. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Parker Reichart made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Little, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Sandpoint's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Coeur d'Alene, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Sandpoint and Coeur d'Alene will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time Sandpoint sees the field they'll take on Lake City at 2:00 p.m. on April 8. As for Coeur d'Alene, their break will end when they face Post Falls at 3:00 p.m. on April 8.
