Preview: Kingston Redskins vs. Plainview Indians
Kingston is 10-0 against Plainview since February of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Kingston Redskins will head out on the road to challenge the Plainview Indians at 7:45 a.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Kingston strolled past Sulphur with points to spare, taking the game 55-39. Given Kingston's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while Sulphur is ranked 220th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Plainview came into Friday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Marietta by a score of 74-62 on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Kingston is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season. As for Plainview, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.
Everything went Kingston's way against Plainview in their previous matchup two weeks ago as Kingston made off with a 65-45 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kingston since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
