Desert Edge waltzed into their matchup on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They had just enough and edged the Canyon View Jaguars out 2-1. For the Scorpions, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Jaguars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Tatum Iler and Aimee Basurto scored both of Desert Edge's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Desert Edge pushed their record up to 11-1-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three contests. As for Canyon View, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Desert Edge will host Verrado at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Desert Edge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.5 goals per game this season. As for Canyon View, they will welcome Youngker at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
