Soccer Game Preview: Grand Saline vs. Chapel Hill

Grand Saline hasn't had much luck against Chapel Hill recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Grand Saline Indians will venture away from home to challenge the Chapel Hill Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Grand Saline's offense. They came up short against Lindale on Tuesday, falling 11-0.

Meanwhile, Chapel Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Van who was credited with the victory. Van got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Chapel Hill's four.

Chapel Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Grand Saline, they now have a losing record at 1-2-1.

Grand Saline suffered a grim 9-1 defeat to Chapel Hill in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Grand Saline was down 4-1.
