After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial, Springfield was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart Mustangs 10-8. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Isabella Groebner was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That double was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Olivia Sprenger, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Springfield's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-11.
