Boone has gone 8-2 against Perry recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Boone Toreadors will be home for the holidays to greet the Perry Bluejays at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Boone will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Carroll, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Boone walked away with a 65-55 victory over Carroll on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Perry won against Roland-Story on Friday with 63 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Perry came out on top against Saydel by a score of 63-53. While the Bluejays didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Perry's win came from a few key players Boone will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Owen Myers, who went 10 of 22 on his way to 21 points along with eight boards and five assists. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Geren Kenney, who almost dropped a triple-double on 12 points, 18 rebounds, and nine assists.

Perry smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in six consecutive matchups.

Boone's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-2. As for Perry, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Things could have been worse for Boone, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-40 loss to Perry when the teams last played back in November of 2023. Can Boone avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
