Basketball Recap: South Comes Up Short

South lost against Topeka on Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The South Titans took a 50-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Topeka Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Trojans are ranked 62nd).

South's loss dropped their record down to 5-9-1. As for Topeka, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3-1.

South will take on Kapaun Mt. Carmel at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Topeka has already played their next game (against Emporia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
