Volleyball Recap: Manchester Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Manchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Woodridge Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Manchester started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-17, 25-20, 26-24.

Emma Ross paced Manchester's offense, picking up 15 kills. Ross were helped by Alaina Craig and Taylor Smith, who contributed 18 assists each. Reghan Reedy controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Manchester's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Woodridge, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Manchester will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Norton at 9:00 a.m. Woodridge has already played their next matchup (against Field), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
