Baseball Recap: Warren Takes a Loss

Warren managed to slip by Crossett the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Lumberjacks lost 8-0 to the Eagles on Tuesday. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Lumberjacks were not able to get on the board.

Warren saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Spears, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Warren's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Crossett, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-4.

Warren and Crossett should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Arkansas Rankings. The Lumberjacks will square off against Monticello at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (34 vs. 115). Meanwhile, Crossett (ranked 29th) will meet El Dorado (ranked 116th) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
