Basketball Recap: Pleasant Hill Comes Up Short

Pleasant Hill lost against Notre Dame de Sion back in January of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pleasant Hill Roosters/Chicks took a blow against the Notre Dame de Sion Storm, falling 62-35. The game marked the Roosters/Chicks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Abby Wendte was her usual excellent self, shooting 43% from the field on her way to 15 points in addition to five boards and three steals for Notre Dame de Sion. Wendte has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Taelyn Smith, who posted 11 points and eight rebounds.

The loss snapped Pleasant Hill's winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 12-6 record. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points over those games. As for Notre Dame de Sion, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-11.
