Preview: Orme Warriors vs. Tri City Prep Panthers
Orme is 6-1 against Tri City Prep since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Orme Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Tri City Prep Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Hopefully Orme focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Monday.
Orme couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell to Tri City Prep 38-34.
Despite the defeat, Orme saw an underclassman step up: Maddy Kyle dropped a double-double on 27 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lillian Welty, who scored 0 points along with 17 rebounds.
Orme's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Tri City Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Orme came up short against Tri City Prep in their previous meeting on Monday, falling 38-34. Can Orme avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
