Basketball Recap: East Marshall Takes a Loss

East Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Jesup J-Hawks and fell 57-19. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 315th, while the J-Hawks are ranked 74th).

East Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Jesup, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

East Marshall will take on GMG at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Jesup, they will square off against Wapsie Valley at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
