Softball Game Preview: Watson Chapel Wildcats vs. Little Rock Southwest Gryphons

Watson Chapel is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Little Rock Southwest an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Watson Chapel Wildcats will be playing at home against the Little Rock Southwest Gryphons at 5:00 p.m. Little Rock Southwest took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Watson Chapel, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Watson Chapel turned things around against Hazen on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 15-5 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Little Rock Southwest might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-5 to Pine Bluff, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Little Rock Southwest's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Watson Chapel, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.

Everything went Watson Chapel's way against Little Rock Southwest in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as Watson Chapel made off with a 12-6 victory.
