Soccer Game Preview: Shawnee vs. Bowling Green

The Shawnee Indians will take on the Bowling Green Bobcats in a tournament on Wednesday. Shawnee's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Shawnee fell victim to Anna and their airtight defense on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rockets.

Meanwhile, Bowling Green didn't have quite enough to beat Clay on Wednesday and fell 3-2. Bowling Green haven't had much luck with Clay recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Allison Hover and Leah Koester scored both of Bowling Green's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Shawnee's loss dropped their record down to 3-11-2. As for Bowling Green, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7-2.

Shawnee was able to grind out a solid victory over Bowling Green in their previous matchup back in September, winning 3-1. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
