Soccer Recap: Moffat County vs. Grand Valley
After flying high against Colorado Rocky Mountain last Thursday, Moffat County came back down to earth. The Moffat County Bulldogs took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grand Valley Cardinals on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 4-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.
Xavier (El Tigre) Ayala and
Osbaldo Becerra scored both of Moffat County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.
Moffat County's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Grand Valley, they pushed their record up to 5-6-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
Moffat County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grand Valley, they are taking a road trip to face off against Ridgway at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
