Rugby and Thompson squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Rugby had to settle for second. They lost 59-39 to the Thompson Tommies. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Rugby's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Thompson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

While Rugby had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Thursday.
