Basketball Recap: East Grand Takes a Loss

East Grand was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Washburn Beavers and fell 72-15. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-25 back in December of 2024.

East Grand's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Washburn, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-11.

East Grand will challenge Van Buren at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. East Grand is facing Van Buren at the right time seeing as Van Buren is stuck on a 16-game losing streak. As for Washburn, they will face off against Easton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Easton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Washburn likes a good challenge.
