Mt. Vernon never let their opponents score on Friday. They breezed past the Maquoketa Cardinals to the tune of 50-0. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Mt. Vernon's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Maquoketa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
