While North Pemiscot's win against Clarkton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Reindeer 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mustangs have posted since September 27th.

Emma Wagley paced North Pemiscot's offense, picking up 30 kills. Wagley also shared the team's lead in assists with Maelyn McCulloch: they picked up two each. McCulloch was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Despite the defeat, Clarkton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tabitha Rivera had 27 digs and two aces. Those 27 digs set a new season-high mark for Rivera.

North Pemiscot has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8-2 record this season. As for Clarkton, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-23-1.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, North Pemiscot and Malden will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Clarkton, they will welcome Campbell at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
