Football Game Preview: Anadarko Warriors vs. Plainview Indians

The Anadarko Warriors will head out to take on the Plainview Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Anadarko will be strutting in after a win while Plainview will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, Anadarko made easy work of Pauls Valley and carried off a 48-22 victory. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Anadarko got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Farris Sutteer out in front who rushed for 117 yards and four TDs on only 15 carries. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Sutteer a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Troy Pendarvis, who gained 148 total yards and a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Anadarko was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 230 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 158 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Anadarko didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Malahkie Beaver and Napoleon Camp.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Plainview's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 38-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Heritage Hall.

Anadarko's record is now 6-1. As for Plainview, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-2.

Anadarko came up short against Plainview when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 35-28. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
