Baseball Recap: Manual Wins Going Away Against Wheat Ridge

On Tuesday, the Manual Thunderbolts made easy work of the Wheat Ridge Farmers and carried off a 15-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Thunderbolts.

Edgar Salas made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. He was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with two triples, three RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Jesus Marquez was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Josue Salas, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Manual always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wheat Ridge only posted an OBP of .375.

Manual's record is now 2-0. As for Wheat Ridge, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Manual wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 11-0 defeat against Lincoln on the 14th. As for Wheat Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-4 loss against Mountain Range on the 13th.
