Softball Recap: Fairmont Cardinals vs. Worthington Trojans

Fairmont put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 16-5 margin over the Worthington Trojans. While fans of Fairmont might be used to big wins, the 11-run margin marked the team's biggest one yet.

Brylee Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Miller was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Fairmont got a massive performance out of Makayla Lowry, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, a triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Madison Landin, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.
