Soccer Recap: Vidor Takes a Loss

Vidor was the 4-3 winner over Bridge City when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vidor Pirates came up short against the Bridge City Cardinals on Tuesday, falling 9-2. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 775th, while the Cardinals are ranked 191st).

Brayden Fagg wasn't going to let Bridge City walk away unscathed as he scored both of Vidor's goals, bringing his season total up to two goals.

Vidor is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13. As for Bridge City, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Vidor will take on Lumberton at 7:00 p.m. on February 11th. Lumberton will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Vidor surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bridge City, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Jasper on the 7th.
