Football Recap: St. Bonaventure Takes a Loss + How To Watch

St. Bonaventure lost against Pacifica back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Seraphs and the Tritons were almost perfectly matched up, but the Seraphs suffered a 24-23 defeat.

Although St. Bonaventure took the loss, they still got scores from Devin Granillo, Tony Dargan, and Jayce Franco.

While St. Bonaventure came up short, they sure didn't make it easy for Pacifica: they limited their QB to completion percentage of just 44.8%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from two players: Jason Homan and Elijah Becerril, who each logged two passes deflected. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for St. Bonaventure; they were averaging 59.5%completion percentage earlier this season, but in their last three contests they've fallen to only 59.5%.

St. Bonaventure didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Granillo and Jeremiah Barrios. Granillo has been hot, having also posted six or more total tackles the last six times he's played. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Pacifica's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alijah Royster led the charge by picking up 85 receiving yards and one score.

St. Bonaventure has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.5 points. As for Pacifica, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
