Soccer Game Preview: Timothy Christian vs. Montini Catholic

Timothy Christian hasn't had much luck against Montini Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Trojans are taking a road trip to take on the Broncos at 4:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Timothy Christian managed to keep up with Wheaton Academy until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Trojans lost 3-0 to the Warriors.

Meanwhile, Montini Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Benet Academy, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Montini Catholic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 246th, while Benet Academy are ranked 40th).

Montini Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Timothy Christian, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 11-3-2.

Timothy Christian suffered a grim 5-2 defeat to Montini Catholic in their previous matchup back in May of 2023. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
