Football Recap: Hamilton Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Hamilton and Stamford squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Hamilton had to settle for second. They lost to the Stamford Bulldogs on the road by a 28-13 margin. Hamilton's defeat signaled the end of their 14-game winning streak.

Stamford had a senior duo take command as Christian Duran rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns and Kaston Vega rushed for 149 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards Duran has posted since back in August. Cle' Whitfield was another key player, gaining 97 total yards and a touchdown.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hamilton fell to 14-1. As for Stamford, the win keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

Hamilton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Stamford will take on Ganado in a holiday battle at at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Both have allowed few points on average, (Stamford: 10.3, Ganado: 10.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
