Softball Recap: North Laurel Extends Winning Streak to Four

North Laurel got themselves on the board against Cooper on Saturday, but Cooper never followed suit. They blew past Cooper 15-0. North Laurel might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by eight runs or more this season.

The victory (which was North Laurel's fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-1-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Cooper, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Laurel will head out to take on Jackson County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cooper, they will venture away from home to face off against Conner at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.08 runs per game on average), something the Jaguars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
