Avon strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the York Golden Knights. The game marked the Braves' most dominant win of the season so far.

Jessie Crye made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Abby Schutz, who went 4-for-5 with five runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those RBI were her first of the season. Caroline Hayes was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Avon's record now sits at 4-0. As for York, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Avon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Le Roy on the 24th. As for York, they have also already played their next contest, a 12-0 defeat against Haverling on the 24th.
