Baseball Recap: Centralia Comes Up Short

Centralia lost against Marion last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Orphans fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2.

Centralia's defeat dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Marion, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

The future could be bright for both Centralia and Marion: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Orphans will look to extend Effingham's three-game losing streak when they meet at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Marion will try to hand Richland County their third-straight loss when the two meet at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
