Arleta is 8-2 against Chavez since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Arleta Mustangs will challenge the Chavez Eagles at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Arleta and ten for Chavez dating back to last season.

Last Friday, Arleta came up short against Grant and fell 74-61.

Meanwhile, Chavez played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 51-21 loss at the hands of Verdugo Hills. The Eagles were down 45-16 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Arleta's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Chavez, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Everything came up roses for Arleta against Chavez in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 78-27 victory. Does Arleta have another victory up their sleeve, or will Chavez turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
