Football Recap: Upper St. Clair Runs Past Woodland Hills + How To Watch

Upper St. Clair extended their postseason success on Friday against Woodland Hills. They came out on top against the Wolverines by a score of 36-26. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won three in a row.

Dante Coury had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 116 yards and one score. Caffery Duplessis also deserves some recognition as he posted his first receiving yards of the season.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Upper St. Clair was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 254 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive games.

Woodland Hills lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Scoop Smith, who picked up 86 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 41 yards. Another player making a difference was Cam Walter, who threw for 227 yards and three TDs.

Upper St. Clair's record now sits at 10-2. As for Woodland Hills, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 8-3 record.

Coming up, Upper St. Clair will face off against Peters Township at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests. Woodland Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
