After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Minster, Coldwater was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Southview Cougars an 8-0 shutout.
Madison Wendel made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. Wendel has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in 19 consecutive pitching appearances.
