After flying high against North Butler on Friday, St. Ansgar came back down to earth. The St. Ansgar Saints took a 52-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Lyon Wildcats on Saturday. The Saints' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

St. Ansgar's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for West Lyon, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

St. Ansgar and West Lyon should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Iowa Rankings. St. Ansgar (ranked 89th) will meet Nashua-Plainfield (ranked 219th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, West Lyon will square off against Boyden-Hull at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 229 places (71 vs. 300).
