Baseball Recap: Gloucester County Tech Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Clearview, Gloucester County Tech was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Westampton Tech Panthers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Gloucester County Tech also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.

Kieran Evans spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up 12 Ks. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 6.5 strikeouts per game.

On the hitting side, Gloucester County Tech saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reed Murphy, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. Another was Michael Mason, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Gloucester County Tech's win bumped their record up to 9-6-1. As for Westampton Tech, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Gloucester County Tech will challenge Paul VI at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Westampton Tech, they will square off against New Egypt at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
