Recap: Danvers Falcons vs. Gloucester Fishermen
Even though the Danvers Falcons have not done well against the Gloucester Fishermen recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Danvers walked away with a 55-42 victory over Gloucester. The win made it back-to-back wins for Danvers.
Danvers was led to victory by Zachary Calabro and Kevin Ahearn. Calabro scored 16 points, while Ahearn scored 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Metivier, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Danvers' win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Gloucester, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Danvers will stay at home for another game and welcome Peabody Veterans Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Peabody Veterans Memorial has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 346 points over their last five matchups. As for Gloucester, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Swampscott at 7:00 p.m. Swampscott and Gloucester are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
