Baseball Game Preview: Molalla Indians vs. Madras White Buffalos

For the second straight game, Molalla will face off against Madras. The Indians will host the White Buffalos at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Molalla's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Madras' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Molalla barely beat Madras the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians blew past the White Buffalos 7-1 on Wednesday. Seven seems to be a good number for the Indians as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

For Madras' part, Bentley Stockton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Madras saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jared Penaloza, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Molalla has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Madras, they dropped their record down to 5-8 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
