Pioneer and Skyline are an even 4-4-2 against one another since September of 2019, but likely not for long. The Pioneers will venture away from home to challenge the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Skyline better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Pioneer's game on Wednesday is any indication, that's when Pioneer really gets things going. Everything went the Pioneers' way against Monroe as they made off with a 4-1 win. Given Pioneer's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Monroe are ranked 204th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Skyline). They never let Belleville get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Thursday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded Skyline with their most commanding win of the season.

Pioneer has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 34 goals over those 12 matchups. As for Skyline, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2-9.

Pioneer beat Skyline 4-2 in their previous meeting back in September. Do the Pioneers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
