Baseball Preview: Tamaqua Blue Raiders vs. Blue Mountain Eagles        
        
		
            Tamaqua has won eight straight games at home, while Blue Mountain has won eight straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much  on Tuesday. The Blue Raiders will welcome the Eagles  at 4:30  p.m. Tamaqua will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  game than the last.
Tamaqua is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. They walked away with  a   13-9  victory over Conrad Weiser  on Thursday.
 Cooper Ansbach was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  a single  earned run in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-4 with one  triple and two  RBI. That  triple marked the first that  he has  hit this season.
 In other batting news,  Luke Kane was  incredible,  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances with four  runs, two  stolen bases,  and three  RBI. What's more,  he posted three  hits, the most he's  had since back in March.  Mason Ligenza was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances with two  stolen bases and three  runs.
 Tamaqua  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .578. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  OBP total in four consecutive  contests.
 Meanwhile, Blue Mountain came out on top against Northern Lebanon on Saturday by a score of  4-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).
 Blue Mountain is  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Tamaqua, their victory bumped their record up to 15-1.
 Tamaqua came out on top in a nail-biter against Blue Mountain in their previous matchup  on April 3rd, sneaking past  2-0. Will the Blue Raiders repeat their success,  or do  the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
