Volleyball Preview: Estacado Matadors vs. Liberty Patriots        
        
		
             The Estacado Matadors will venture away from home to  square off against the Liberty Patriots  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Estacado is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a six-game streak of away losses.
 Last Saturday, Estacado came up short against Snyder  and fell  3-1. While the Matadors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tigers  25-20 in the first  period.
 Estacado started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 13-25, 25-20, 25-14,  25-18.
 Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from  Amari Atkins, who  had 28  digs. She is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had 23 or more in the last three games she's  played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Addison Thomas, who  had 16  kills, seven  digs,  and six  blocks.
 She was just one part of a dominant defense: Estacado  kept the net locked down and  finished the game with 14  blocks. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  had at least 14  blocks in three consecutive  matches.
 Meanwhile, Liberty waltzed into their contest  on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Lobos 3-0.
 The  victory didn't come easy: Levelland scored at least 16 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-16,  25-12.
 Estacado's loss dropped their record down to 8-21. As for Liberty, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine games,  which provided a nice bump to their 27-11 record  this season.
