            Baseball Recap: Grenada Chargers vs. West Point Green Wave        
        
		
        
        
            Grenada's game  last Tuesday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the West Point Green Wave  a   10-0 shutout. The  win continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Green Wave: they've now won seven in a row.

The result came thanks to  Brayden Trusty's shutout, as he gave up just a  hit and racked up 14 Ks. Those  14  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high.
 On the hitting side,  Drew Klinck was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 4-for-5.  Preston Downs was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases and three  RBI.
Grenada's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for West Point, they dropped their record down to 5-5 with the  defeat, which was their third straight  on the road.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grenada will host Eupora  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for West Point, they will welcome Nettleton  at 2:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
