Baseball Game Preview: Jackson Red Devils vs. Callaway Cavaliers

For the second straight game, Jackson will face off against Callaway. The Red Devils will take on the Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Jackson has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Callaway will arrive with seven straight wins.

Jackson lost 7-1 to Callaway on Tuesday.

For Callaway's part, the team relied heavily on Jaxon Duncan, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. LaShun Gates also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Callaway pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Jackson, they now have a losing record of 11-12.
