The Maine Principal's Association football playoffs will soon be underway.
The 8-Man state championship game is scheduled for Nov. 16 while state championship winners in Class C will be determined Nov. 22. State finalists in Classes A, B and D will battle for state championship hardware on Nov. 23.
Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland will serve as the host site for the state title contests in Classes A, B and D while finalists in Class C will battle for the champion's hardware at the University of Maine, Orono. The battleground for the 8-Man championship is yet to be determined.
Champions in 2018 include Thornton Academy (A), Marshwood (B), Nokomis (C), Wells (D) and Freeport (E). Wells will be trying to secure its fourth straight state football title while Marshwood will set out to win a third straight state football title.
