Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Whetstone). They never let the Northland Vikings get on the board and left with a 20-0 win on Wednesday. Considering the Braves have won six matches by more than 11 runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Jillian Nelson and Avery Bair made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Nelson tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Bair pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Nelson has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. At the plate, Nelson scored three runs while going 2-for-2, while Bair scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
