Basketball Recap: Hawley Takes a Loss

Hawley was the 49-47 winner over Staples-Motley when they last played one another back in February of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The Hawley Nuggets lost 84-63 to the Staples-Motley Cardinals on Tuesday.

Hawley's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Staples-Motley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Hawley will host Pelican Rapids at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pelican Rapids has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 217 points over their last three matches. As for Staples-Motley, they will square off against Pierz at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
