Football Game Preview: Plainfield Cardinals vs. Union Farmers

The Plainfield Cardinals are headed away from home for the first time to square off against the Union Farmers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Plainfield was able to grind out a solid win over Ridge, taking the game 25-13.

Meanwhile, Union won against Roselle last Thursday with 12 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. The Farmers didn't even let Roselle Catholic on the board, marking the Farmers' second-straight 12-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Farmers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Plainfield better keep an eye on Candice Otoo. She was instrumental in Union's win, rushing for 73 yards and one TD.

Union's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 0.0 points on average over those games. As for Plainfield, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
