Basketball Recap: Episcopal School of Jacksonville Takes a Loss

Episcopal School of Jacksonville played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 38-16 to the Bishop Kenny Crusaders. The Eagles have struggled against the Crusaders recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Bailey Harris was Episcopal School of Jacksonville's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Zara Griffith held things down on the boards with six rebounds.

Kathleen Crawley continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bishop Kenny, going 6 of 11 on her way to 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Crawley has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Mayer, who posted four points in addition to six assists and three steals.

Episcopal School of Jacksonville's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Bishop Kenny, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles face off against the Fleming Island Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bishop Kenny, they will square off against Nease at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Kenny is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.5 points per game this season.
