Mascoutah won the last time they faced Herrin and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mascoutah Indians came out on top against the Herrin Tigers by a score of 68-59.

Herrin's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grady Cox, who went 8-for-12 to rack up 17 points and eight boards. Cox has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Kyrese Lukens was another key player, putting up 15 points and five assists.

Mascoutah's win bumped their record up to 17-12. As for Herrin, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-7.

Coming up, Mascoutah will venture away from home to challenge Civic Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Herrin, they will welcome Harrisburg at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
