Softball Recap: Purdy Extends Winning Streak to Four

Purdy never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Hurley Tigers with a sharp 13-0 win. Considering the Eagles have won five contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Purdy, bringing their record up to 7-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Hurley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Purdy will head out to square off against Lamar at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hurley, they will venture away from home to take on Marionville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
