Softball Recap: Southwest DeKalb Panthers vs. Clarkston Angoras
While Southwest DeKalb put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Clarkston. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 22-0 margin over the Angoras. The match marked the Panthers' most dominant win of the season so far.
Jasmin Josey made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Nyla Denbow and Makayla Dixon did most of the damage at the plate: Denbow went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four stolen bases, and three runs, while Dixon went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.
