Basketball Recap: Red Rock Comes Up Short

Red Rock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 82-38 loss at the hands of the Joseph City Wildcats. The Scorpions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-16.

Joseph City's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaxon Arnell, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 17 points in addition to six assists and six boards. Arnell is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Eli James was another key player, going 7 for 14 on his way to 17 points and six steals.

Red Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Joseph City, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Rock will venture away from home to square off against BASIS Phoenix at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Joseph City, they will head out to challenge Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Joseph City is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.9 points per game this season.
